It’s been a successful season for Seaford High School’s dance team, which earned a pair of second-place finishes at regional competitions.

Thespians from Seaford High School’s Drama Club are making their final preparations for the dark musical comedy, “Little Shop of Horrors,” with three performances on March 6 and 7. The show features 32 students who are ready to entertain audiences with their acting, dancing and singing talents.

Accomplished news reporter John Dias visited Seaford High School on Feb. 2 to share his career journey and inspire students who may pursue media arts careers. Mr. Dias, a three-time Emmy-winning reporter for CBS News New York, spoke to about 45 students in the Broadcasting, Filmmaking and LIU Journalism courses.

Nearly 200 teenagers and young adults received free cardiac exams at a Heart Screen New York community event on Feb. 7 at Seaford Middle School. The screening was a partnership between the Seaford School District, Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation and Dominic A. Murray 21 Memorial Foundation.

Seaford High School’s current and incoming students were looking to the future during the annual Viking Vision Day on Jan. 30. The theme was “Seaford Scholars: All In.”
